How to use affirmations

Now we will talk about spending time with affirmations. The point of listening to affirmations is not so much about focus. It’s just about finding the right time of day to put your headphones on and clean your house, mow your lawn, while you workout or on your way to work. You can find audio of affirmations on YouTube or you can make your own. I do suggest listening for at least 40 minutes. If you have to work your way up to 40 minutes while you find a routine, then that will be just as effective. One YouTube channel I have found is PowerThoughts Meditation Club.
I do not own the rights of anything on this channel.
While you listen, you may have some negative thoughts creep in. For example; If the video says “You are confident and in control”, you may automatically think, “No I’m not.” These thoughts will go away with time, just accept them and move on. The beautiful thing about this is you don’t have to do much in this process but let go and listen. Your subconscious is retaining all those powerful words and with a short amount of time, you will see a difference in how you feel.
If you are feeling like you are in any type of danger by others or to yourself, please find a way to reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. If they cannot help I am sure they will direct you to where you need to go.

Once you have successfully incorporated your favorite audios into your everyday life, you’ll start to notice some changes. Each change is very personalized to each individual, so pay attention to the way you start interacting with the people in your life. Are you noticing behaviors and body language in others that you’ve never noticed before? Becoming more aware of the people and situations your surrounded by will better help you in the future.
